It’s starting to heat up in phx, and I love the implications that come with hot weather: summer, sunshine, the beach, road trips, sundresses, mimosas, margaritas, flip flops, early morning hikes, and SMOOTHIE BOWLS to cool down 🙂 This smoothie bowl is soooo unbelievably tasty and it’s packed with nutrients. I’ve been eating so much of it lately (for breakfast and then again! for lunch), that I may end up turning purple.
Recipe:
1 Cup of Mixed Berries (Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries)
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1/2 Cup yogurt (I used vegan coconut yogurt)
1/2 of a Banana
1 tablespoon nut butter (or peanut powder if you want to cut out a few calories 😉 )
1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
1 teaspoon of flax meal
Blend until it’s gorgeously smooth and top with whatever you’d like! I topped mine with a few frozen blueberries, cocoa nibs, hemp seeds, and shredded coconut. Gives it a little crunch and it’s just to die for 🙂 Enjoy!
